Downtown Mural Initiative
Launched in 2023, our Downtown Mural Initiative has already made a big splash, raising over $71,000 and installing SIX iconic murals in downtown South Milwaukee!
Most recently, a giant bald eagle was completed on the West wall at 920 Monroe Avenue, honoring our veteran community. Also painted this summer was a piece honoring the Aztecan roots of the property owners at 901 Milwaukee Avenue. And, finally, a South Milwaukee Sam mural was installed at the Bucyrus Commons after being painted live during Flip Side Festival of the Arts 2024.
